Feeling Homesick? Cheer Up with this Little Boy’s Trip to the Paddy Field!

Childhood is the most beautiful of all life’s seasons

Today, I want to share happiness with our Morungers, an emotional journey with this beautiful photo-story of a little boy having the time of his life in the paddy field.

It was a tiresome Friday evening, beat from work and the rising summer heat, a day that didn’t seem promising at all! Well, then my phone buzzed to a series of cute photos of a little boy in a paddy field!  They were from one of my favourite photographer who had taken a surprise break to Ukhrul.

I am not sure if it was the innocence in the little boy or the nostalgia of a serene country life, but my day finally seemed so promising. Allow me to narrate (with liberty and of my own making), the nature of events this little boy went through.

Show me how they are planted. I wanna help MOM!! Okay, grab some green? simple.

Hmmm.. Maybe I should move out of the water. Ooohh.. can’t walk, better hold my mom and walk.

(This was when his mom turned to him and decided to get him out of the field). I don’t wanna go. I don’t wanna. Don’t manhandle me!!

No… I cannot stop the fun now. Struggle to get free, struggle! Drat! I wish I was stronger!

But that wasn’t the end of it. I was told that he went back in again, an evening of illegal entry and deportation exercised many times. Sadly tho, these are all the pictures I have got.

To our Morungers struggling in the city, I hope this photo-story will help you cope with it and bring you nothing but happy memories.

This series has been specially filmed by our favourite photographer Worngachan A Shatsang, whose work we have featured a couple of times too, i.e.  Of Childhood and Memories : A Photo-Story That Will Blow You Away! and Men of Faith: This Painter-cum-Musician is the Proof of God Working His Miracles!
